Door in the Woods is a lovely 3 bedroom, 2 bath home within walking distance to downtown Sister Bay!  Close to all of the attractions in Northern Door County, but nestled in the heart of the woods in a neighborhood that provides a relaxing escape from it all.

This home has been in the Ahlbeck family for two generations and they are sharing it with guests to make your own lifelong memories!  Two story great room with fireplace and large flat screen tv provides all the comforts of home.  It is a 0.3 mile walk to the heart of downtown Sister Bay to all the restaurants, shopping and beach.

Three bedrooms, including a Queen bed in two of the bedrooms, and two twin beds in the third.  First bedroom on main level with Queen bed and attaching bathroom.  Second and third bedroom on second floor with a Jack and Jill bathroom connecting to each bedroom.  Third bedroom features two twin beds.

Large flat screen tv in two story great room, with natural burning fireplace!  Expansive deck off the back to enjoy the peaceful woods surrounding.

This is a perfect home base to vacation in northern Door County!

Three bedrooms, including a Queen bed in two of the bedrooms, and two twin beds in the third.  First bedroom on main level with Queen bed and attaching bathroom.  Second and third bedroom on second floor with a Jack and Jill bathroom connecting to each bedroom.  Third bedroom features two double beds.

Rental Party: The rental party shall consist of a total of 6 guests or less.

  1. Guests who are renting the property must be at least 21 years of age;
  2. No more than 6 occupants and only registered guests may use the house and its surrounds (unless owner permission is granted) c. Children are included in the guest total (infants are excluded)
  3. Payment: Reservations made within 30 days of arrival require 100% of the rental and fees at the time of booking. Reservations made more than 30 days in advance require a minimum of 50% of the total rental and fees at the time of the reservation with the remaining balance due at least 14 days before arrival. If the outstanding balance is not paid in full at least 30 days before arrival, the Homeowner, with no return of any payment made to date, may cancel the reservation.
  4. Damage: The Guest is responsible for damage to the property or furnishings by any member of the party. Dirt or other mess requiring excessive cleaning including smoking in the house, spills and stains on linens, and/or damage to floors, furniture, woodwork, or walls will be charged to the booking guest.
  5. Refunds: If a Guest wishes to cancel his/her reservation, the payment will be refunded as follows:
  6. 100% if cancelled 30 days or more from check-in date, b. 50% if cancelled 14 or more days prior to check-in date, c. 100% if house is re-rented for all of the cancelled dates. If something is damaged or unfit for use upon check-in, Guest will notify Northern Door Vacations, LLC (608-215-5882) immediately by telephone and the Owner will work to get the item fixed or problem solved immediately. Acts of Nature such as power outages will not be considered the Owner liability.  Any refunds processed due to a guest cancelation of your reservation will be subject to the 3% credit card processing fee that we are charged on the original payment.  For example, if your original deposit was $103, you will receive $100 back for your refund to account for the credit card processing fee that we are charged.

If Owner cancels the Guest reservation at any time due to unavailability of the rental property for any reason, Northern Door Vacations, LLC will refund 100% of any payments made by the Guest. Owner liability will be limited to the Guest’s payments to Northern Door Vacations, LLC  only.

Access: Guest shall allow Northern Door Vacations, LLC or designated contractor access to the property for purpose of repair or inspection. Northern Door Vacations, LLC shall communicate this action prior to access and exercise this right in a reasonable manner.

 

RENTAL RULES (this summary will also be posted in house)

  1. This property is privately owned and the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or illness that occur while on the premises. The Homeowners, nor their Agents are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the Guest.
  2. Smoking or extinguished smoking materials are not allowed in the house.
  3. Tents and campers for extra sleeping are not allowed.
  4. Quiet hours after 10pm in respect for neighbors. Please respect the rights of your neighbors and respect the rules and standards of the development where the property is located.  Please keep outdoor noise minimal after 10pm for respect to the neighbors and to abide by municipality rules.  Multiple late night complaints from others will result in evection.  Non-adherence to this may result in eviction.
  5. No fireworks are permitted at any time, nor camp fires of any nature are not allowed either.
  6. The property and all furnishings must be kept in good order. Clean any spills and excessive cooking/grilling residues. Place garbage and recyclables in the bins supplied outside,  cleaned. Report any damage or something not working to the Property Manager immediately.
  7. Daily housekeeping is not provided.
  8. Please do not take bath towels out of the house such as to the beach, boating, etc. Please do not place wet towels on beds, furniture, or carpeting.
  9. Please do not flush anything but toilet paper (TP). No paper towels, Kleenex, baby products, or feminine products should be flushed at anytime. If the septic system becomes clogged, the Guest will be charged the substantial repair fee.
  10. No refunds for storms or bad weather.
  11. Pets are not allowed by guests.
  12. Parking vehicles are to be in the designated driveway of the home only, guest vehicles are not to be parked on the road or shoulder, as to allow access to emergency vehicles.
  13. Recycling is mandatory in our area and we ask that all guest assist in this worthwhile effort.
  14. All trash and recycling containers are to be kept in outside receptacles. At no point should these be brought to the road.  Please keep trash and recycling containers against the house in driveway.  
  15. Final requirement: RELAX AND HAVE FUN!
